Job Description : Our client, a central Florida transportation company is seeking a professional controller for their growing team.
This company is long standing, well established, and reputable, serving their clients for over 40 years. They deliver and continuously provide quality transportation services to their customers. They act as a strong employee community, working along side a leadership team who cares about your sucess!
Controller Responsibilities:
Ensure financial records/financial management systems
Oversee a team- leading, coaching, mentoring
Prparation and approval of financial reporting, metrics, KPI’s
Vendor Management
Month/year-end closing, financial audits, periodic bank reviews, journal entries, tracking fixed assets,, annual taxes, A/R, A/P, Payroll, budgets..etc..
State registrations & reports filing
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or Business- related field or equivalent job experience; CPA a plus
7-10 years progressive experience in accounting and 5 years in management
Strong communication, organizational kills, manage staff, and interpersonal skills
Highly proficient: ERP finance managemet applications, MS Excel, MS Office, IBMi-based systems
