Job Description : Controller Job Description: Masis Professional Group has an immediate need for a Controller for a very well established and growing Real Estate firm on a full time permanent basis in the Jacksonville, FL area. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financials of all businesses under the that fall under the company umbrella. Primary duties will include the oversight of balance sheets, invoices, accounts payable and accounts receivable including the management of the team members doing the day to day work.Controller Responsibilities: Assist leadership with important financial decisions regarding the direction of the company and where to allocate capitalEffectively manage team members who are responsible for maintaining up to date and reconciled financialsKeep current on individual business’s within the company, the real estate market, and current events to identify potential expansion and growth opportunitiesProvide recommendations for opportunities and improvements on company operating proceduresWork closely with marketing, acquisition, and disposition departments; maintain an overall understanding on the flow of capital and profits through the various businesses within the company.Maintain transparent understanding of company financials to maintain legal requirements to keep company in good standingRun alignment meetings for all reports in the Financial DepartmentController Requirements: Preferred Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting, preferably an MBA and/or CPAWorking knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)Advanced knowledge of accounting software and financial analysis, NetSuite preferredKnowledgeable on monthly and year end book closingsKnowledgeable about tax preparationManagerial/interpersonal skills5-10 years of finance/accounting experience preferredAdvanced knowledge in Microsoft ExcelComfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environmentJob Type: Full-timePay: $90,000.00 – $120,000.00 per yearSchedule:Monday to FridayWork Location: One location
