Job Description : We are seeking a seasoned accountant to manage all day to day accounting functions for a group of affiliated companies. If you enjoy variety and challenge, this is the job for you! The person we are seeking will maintain the general ledgers for approximately 20 affiliated entities (encompassing real estate development, farming and e-commerce) and possess expertise with Quickbooks (Enterprise or Pro) accounting software or other comparable accounting software, Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook and Word) and various other software integrations related to e-commerce activities and cloud based software. Must be savvy and flexible in the use of computers and various software applications and possess strong analytical skills. Experience in e-commerce and real estate accounting is highly desired. This individual will work from two locations within Newport Beach splitting time between two offices (travel between them may be required – 6 miles apart). Reports directly to the CEO (two) and in support of other team members within our organizations.Duties include:· Recording all banking transactions (deposits, checks, transfers and ACH transactions)· Recording loan activity including credit cards and other debt· Importing outside financial transactions (IIF files) as required· Reconciling accounts including 3rd party sweep accounts used for e-commerce (Stripe, Paypal, Square)· Analyzing the general ledgers for accuracy and errors including stale outstanding checks, uncollected A/R, business trends, errors and discrepancies and posting journal entries as required.· Accessing sales transactions from 3rd party software platforms used in the e-commerce setting.· Preparation of tax filings – sales tax, 1099, business property returns· Maintenance of chart of accounts and mapping of new accounts to outside software as required· Management of inventory items and other cost accounting· Communicate with both vendors and customers on accounting related issues and inquiries· Prioritize tasks, work quickly and efficiently, meet deadlines· Prepare and analyze internal reporting and Financial Statements as requestedQualifications:· Minimum 5 years experience with full General Ledger Accounting experience· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance· Full time (32-40 hours per week)Job Type: Full-timePay: $80,000.00 – $110,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Flexible scheduleHealth insurancePaid time offPhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payAbility to commute/relocate:Newport Beach, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Education:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:GAAP: 5 years (Required)Work Location: Multiple Locations
