Job Description : ACP Connections is looking for a strong Corporate Controller. This is an amazing opportunity for a strong Corporate Controller with manufacturing and/or construction experience! This role is located onsite and no vaccination required. Must have construction/manufacturing and working with contracts! Comes with outstanding health benefits, dental, vision, 401K match, PTO package and paid holidays!Corporate Controller will direct the financial close of the monthly financials and prepare financial analysis of operational results including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules, for the guidance of management. Additionally, this position is responsible for the company’s financial plans and policies, its accounting practices, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the conduct of relationships with lending institutions and outside auditing firms. Additionally, the Corporate Controller supervises the general accounting staff and related processes, oversees the creation of comprehensive internal controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).The Corporate Controller provides robust, forward thinking, and effective change management leadership. This role embodies the Company’s vision, ensures strategic business alignment and effectively manages resources to achieve fiscal goals and objectives. This role also requires the business acumen to effectively develop, plan, communicate and implement companywide polices and controls to secure the integrity of the financial information used in businesses decision making.The Corporate Controller must continually think outside the box and offer solutions beyond the expectations of the role. It is essential that the Controller maintains a positive cultural environment that fosters an open forum where the skills and contributions of every Employee, companywide, adds to the well-being of the business. Therefore, positioning yourself as a financial mentor to the accounting team and nonfinancial managers and maintaining a mentoring spirit is critical for the long-term success of this position. This position has supervisory responsibilities over the accounting team and has general decision-making authority as it applies to accounting department’s day to day operations.CORPORATE CONTROLLER RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following; other duties may be assigned:· Responsible for timely, accurate and efficient accounting close on a monthly basis; Close the financials within five (5) days of the end of the period for 3 companies.· Manages the daily and ongoing accounting functions relating to invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory management, treasury management, procurement, and general ledger accounting.· Enhances accounting department’s use of software and integrate software into accounting processes and procedures as needed.· Seeks opportunities to revise or create new policies and procedures, or implement new systems, that improve efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting group.· Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.· Supervises the preparation, and the continued enhancement, of the monthly/quarterly management financial package, including variance analysis, supportive information for meetings with Managers, and Board of Directors reporting packages.· Manages the annual financial audit process performed by our independent CPA firm.· Manages and submits various monthly and quarterly covenant reporting requirements, such as collateral documentation, to the financial institutions.· Analyses and informs management of the impact of changes in U.S. GAAP and insures appropriate implementation of those standards.· Monitors and confirms financial condition by reviewing account reconciliations performed by the accounting team on a monthly basis; performs an analysis by comparing actual balances to budget.· Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends as requested.· Continually develops, analyzes, documents and implements internal controls that safeguards access to company assets by establishing appropriate segregations of incompatible duties and functions.· Coordinates and administers an adequate plan for the control of operations on an ongoing basis. Such a plan provides profit planning, sales forecasts, expense budgets, cost standards, and saving opportunities, together with the necessary controls and procedures to effectuate the plan.· Prepares budgets as needed by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommends adjustments to department budget submissions.· Achieves financial objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions on an ongoing basis.· Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements though the timely filing of financial or other reports as required; advises management on required actions.· Prepares and files required property, sales, and income tax returns in a timely manner with assistance from consultants as required. Responds to requests from taxing authorities.· Maintains satisfactory financial staff job performance by training, counseling, appraising, and disciplining employees.· Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans strictly confidential.· Responds to escalated incidents from the Credit Manager regarding credit and collection activities. Responsible for communicating to the CFO areas of potential risk, and establishes appropriate accounting reserves.· Executes and monitors cash disbursements daily for payment of corporate expenditures in accordance with disbursement approval policies.CORPORATE CONTROLLER EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
