Job Description : RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Baltimore, MD that is seeking a Corporate Director of Finance.

Respnsibilities:

In this role, the Corporate Director of Finance provides leadership, management and oversight for day-to-day operations of both FPI Corporate and PA Accounting, cost accounting, budgetary controls, financial analysis and forecast, budget plans, cash flow monitoring, and monthly reports
Ensures that PA’s and subsidiaries are complying with quarterly reporting requirements required by the MSP, GAAP, and M&T; This includes accurate reporting of assessments and Dean’s/All Funds reports, as well as MSEF/DDF accounting and reporting; Responds to requests related to quarterly reporting from the UMMS, FPI and other outside parties as appropriate; Provides updates to Chief Financial for non-compliance in a timely manner
The Corporate Director of Finance oversees/monitors internal control procedures as well as accounting policies and procedures recommending changes or additions to the Chief Financial when necessary; Works with Finance leadership staff to effectively implement necessary changes; Evaluates changes for business effectiveness
Ensures that general ledger is reconciled to subsidiary ledgers, and thoroughly reviews financial statements to ensure accuracy; Creates, analyzes, and reports upon various departmental financial information to explain financial data contained in the financial statements; Ensures regular meetings with management and department staff to review and understand financial results; Coordinates preparation of annual budgets for subsidiaries, assists in budget process with Accounting Clients and ensures that budget information is accurately loaded into the Financial Statements; The Corporate Director of Finance also reviews the budget information contained in the Financial Statements and monitors, researches and explains variances of actual to budget

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in Finance and/or Accounting; Master’s degree preferred
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
7-10 years related leadership experience in Finance and Accounting
Takes initiative to analyze, address, and resolve emerging situations
