Sure, it’s great if you have a CPA and Big-4 background but what we need is an experienced accountant that is interested in a full-cycle experience. We rotate the responsibilities between our team members to allow them to gain a full-cycle accounting duty and to take an interest in, and ultimately understand, the bigger picture. We make it our mission to support our team members’ personal and professional growth and we have the resources to deliver on our promise.RESPONSIBILITIES:Create and post journal entries and prepare necessary supporting documentationEnsure Financial Statements are produced in a timely and accurate manner, including adherence to general accounting principles (GAAP)Review month-end balance sheet reconciliations, propose adjusting journal entries and submit them for Assistant Controller’s reviewGeneral ledger accounting and mapping of fixed assetsProcess supplier invoices for review and approvalPrepare information to outside auditors on an annual basisSpecial projects as necessaryServe as liaison between schools and accounting departmentDocument business processes and accounting policies, spot errors and identify ways to maintain and strengthen internal controlsREQUIREMENTS:B.S. in Accounting, Finance or Business AdministrationStrong Knowledge of Accounting Principles, GAAP and research skillsAt least 2 years’ experience in corporate accounting and/or in a public accounting firm is requiredCPA, or CPA track preferredAnalytical and problem-solving skillsExperience in NetSuite, ProCare and/or bill.com is preferredProficiency in Microsoft Excel and WordSolid written and oral communication, organizational and planning skillsAbility to manage multiple, diverse projects concurrentlyIn addition to an engaging and dynamic work environment that promotes professional development and self-growth, we offer a lot of perks too: medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement savings plans, short-term disability, life insurance, flexible paid time off, education scholarships, and faculty tuition discounts.We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and are committed to providing a workplace free of harassment and discrimination.
