Pomp’s Tire Service has an exciting new opportunity for a Corporate Tax Manager at our corporate office in Green Bay, WI. This manager will continue to lead and develop the compliance department focused on tax planning and filings, research, education, and compliance audits. Functions include but not limited to the following:
Manage and review federal and multi-state filings including but not limited to:
Sales and use tax
PPT/MP
Excise tax
Federal and state income tax
Annual reports
Other local and state filings
Monitor changes in laws and tax rates; research as needed
Maintain files for audit correspondence
Assist with scheduled report filings and support audit requests by providing information to auditors and responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Oversee the completion and ensure timely and accurate filings of federal and state income tax payments and returns, including related analysis and support
Coordinate tax planning, research, and other special projects
Manage Pomp’s compliance department
Job Requirements:
Proficient computer skills including a competent understanding of Microsoft Excel
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Acute attention to detail and accuracy
Ethical conduct
Work well under pressure; demonstrate ability to accommodate changing priorities and deadlines
Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor
Education/Training:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
CPA certification preferred
5+ years of experience in corporate tax related fields
3-5 years of supervisory experience preferred
