We own and manage 10 livestock feeding facilities mostly located in the greater Treasure Valley of Idaho and Oregon. We give back to the communities we do business in and are most know for our contributions to youth 4H and FFA programs and our ongoing donation of 100 meals a day that includes beef to the Idaho Food Bank. We take care of our people through a family-inspired environment.Job Summary: As a member of the Finance/Accounting team, the Cost Accountant will support the financial affairs of the organization and assist with preparation of financial analysis of operations, including interim and annual financial and cost reports with supporting schedules. The right candidate will be an enthusiastic individual with an ability to thrive in a detail-oriented and fast-paced environment.Duties/Responsibilities:Review daily/weekly receipt reconciliations and confirm pricing.Collaborate with site managers & materials purchasers on receipt and pricing issues.Enter receipts and pricing in accounting PO system. Match vendor invoices and record variances.Prepare semi-monthly feed ration cost and yield reports.Prepare month-end accruals.Perform inventory reconciliations, valuations, analysis, and supporting schedules.Prepare standard and ad hoc reports relating to variance analysis and business margins.Collaborate with the accounting and operations teams on internal projects.Maintain item lists in accounting system.Other job-related duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Self-motivated and able to work collaboratively with a diverse group.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Demonstrate a commitment to quality and accuracy while meeting deadlines.Must continuously look for process improvements.Excellent Excel knowledge – ability to provide financial modeling and spreadsheet creation.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field, required.At least three years of related experience required.Job Type: Full-timePay: $65,000.00 – $80,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Health insurancePaid time offPhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Nampa, ID 83687: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Experience:Accounting: 1 year (Preferred)Cost accounting: 1 year (Preferred)ERP systems: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
