Cost Accountant
San Rafael
Well established and family-owned construction company is seeking an experienced Job Cost Accountant to join their team. This position works closely with Project Management to cost, code and collect all receivables to keep projects on track and budget.
Key skills:
Work closely with the project management team to confirm billings and subcontractor payments are entered/posted into accounting system according to month end close schedule
Keen focus on all collections, provide critical AR data to management, and assist with weekly cash flow forecast for Management
Seek, manage, track, and report on a high volume of AR information that is ever evolving and sometimes changing daily
Process daily cash receipts
Ensure subcontractor compliance prior to processing payment
Develop necessary reports and analysis for effective project cost management with the PM team
Ideal qualifications:
Degree in accounting/finance or 5 years related experience preferred
Strong communication skills and ability to follow laid out operating procedures
Experience with Excel (pivot tables and formulas) and MS Word
Great attention to detail and ability to work in a fast paced environment
