Job Description : Our client is seeking an amazing Cost Accountant to join their team with a rapidly growing industry that has only expanded through Covid. They are in the alternative medicine industry.Must be ok with working in the alternative medicine industry like CBD and Kratom.Responsibilities include:Determines cost of operations by establishing standard costs; collecting operational data.Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data.Maintains database by entering, verifying, and backing up data.Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials.Increases productivity by developing automated accounting applications; coordinating information requirements.Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and takes on additional projects as defined.Job RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting Required (Masters Preferred)3+ years’ experience in COST accountingExperience with general ledger systems (ideally NetSuite)Advanced knowledge of ExcelStrong problem solving and analytical skillsAbility to function well in a team-oriented environment#INDSS2Job Type: Full-timePay: $70,000.00 – $100,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payWork Location: One location
