We are currently hiring a dynamic Cost/Data Analyst to support the Accounting Department in Desert Hot Springs, CA.

Daily Responsibilities:

Support the Accounting department’s objective to provide analysis and cost reduction initiatives to achieve cost targets.
Serve as operating budget and forecast lead for the Desert Hot Springs location.
Product cost analysis – visualize total cost per unit vs. target for production, analyzing both controllable and uncontrollable cost impacts.
Prepare monthly financial close journal entries and account analysis.
Develop and prepare monthly reporting for each responsible department.
Visualize and lead departments’ cost reduction and budget versus actual each month.
Create monthly reporting of costs to support responsible departments.
Participate in physical inventory.
Work closely with department team members related to cost reduction activities.
Support daily cost management and daily productivity management reporting for daily production meetings.
Develop responsible departments operating budget strategies and processes.
Assist departments with cost per unit analysis by the model to support new requirements and reporting.
Assist with other projects as needed.
Practice GAAP principles by ensuring quality in all Accounting activities.
Develop business plans and strategies – support annual objectives.
Required Skills & Traits:

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or other related discipline.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Dynamics, and Quickbooks (intermediate or above).
Progressive experience in corporate or manufacturing Accounting or equivalent.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create and present concepts and recommendations to customers and all levels of management.

Advanced level proficiency in knowledge of cost management and cost planning systems (examples include PEFF, shop floor cost target setting by shop, cost visualization, cost reporting by production line).
SAP / BPC experience.

New Model cost planning and cost follow experience.
Budget management experience.
PowerBI or Tableau – analytical tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $65,000 to $75,000; subject to proven skill set and experience level.
