Job Description : As our SRE/DevOps Engineer for GoFin, you’ll play an important role in setting up the newly established Insurance and Investment Platform within Gojek’s Financial Services team. Together with several Engineering streams and our third-party partners’ engineers, you’ll deploy and administer cloud-based infrastructure, perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis, and contribute your expertise to the platform’s technical direction and strategic decisions for its infrastructure & architecture. Your efforts will drive seamless partner-product integration and automation for the Gojek ecosystem, and most importantly, bring wider financial inclusion to more Indonesians and the greater Southeast Asian community in the long run.
What You Will Do
Responsible for the monitoring and uptime of all production databases.
Estimate PostgreSQL database capacities and develop methods for monitoring database capacity and usage.
Lead efforts to develop and improve procedures for automated monitoring and proactive intervention, reducing any need for downtime.
Develop Stored Procedures and Database Triggers in support of application development.
Participate in application development projects and be responsible for the database architecture and design.
Participate in the creation of development, staging, and production database instances, and the migration from one environment to another.
Responsible for developer SQL code review to ensure queries are optimized and tuned to perform efficiently prior to production release.
Responsible for regular backups and recovery of databases.
Responsible for regular maintenance on databases (e.g., Vacuum, Reindexing, Archiving).
Responsible for pro-active remediation of database operational problems.
Responsible for Query tuning and preventative maintenance.
Support complex web-based applications.
Responsible for implementing replication for the purpose of DR activity
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge in working on Cloud (AWS/GCP) database services will be an added advantage.
What You Will Need
Knowledge in working on Cloud (AWS/GCP) database services will be an added advantage.
Postgre DBA with 3-7 years of exp in Postgre DBA.
Strong command and experience in UNIX universe platform
Experience with Infra automation Stack and Script (i.e. Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible stuff)
Experience with CI/CD, and Cron Pipeline (i.e. Jenkins, GitlabCI, Rundeck)
Experience with Database and datastream ( i.e SQL, noSQL, MQ, Kafka)
Experience with Containerization and Orchestration (i..e Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience Monitoring and Alerting Management
Experience with Config, Key/Value Managemet ( i.e Vault, Consul, etc)
