Global B2B Digital Experience and Payments Platforms Engineering Organization is part of Global Commercial Services Technology – with a charter to create Unified Commercial Platform Strategy to unleash the power of Data, Digital and Payment Experiences to our B2B customers in support of Global Commercial Services (GCS) Strategic Priorities and Business Model Transformation. Our engineering teams partner closely with GCS group to deliver best in class experience, advanced data and insights and seamless payment experience to our B2B Buyers & Suppliers across AXP’s Card and Non-Card rails.

We power new product features as well as existing ones, building highly configurable core capabilities as it relates to B2B journeys starting from digital onboarding, account setups, digital servicing, Business Travel Account, Corporate Purchasing Card, Supplier Payments and much more to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Director, Product Delivery & Integration for Platform Health Optimization and Reconciliation capabilities will report directly to the Vice President, Product Delivery & Integration, Value Stream Optimization and Centrally Billed Payment Products, and will be responsible for enabling optimization of Platform Health and Run-the-Business Efforts across GCST. Additionally, the leader will be responsible for delivery of critical changes on GCST reconciliation and legacy app capabilities, their modernization and POD platform decommission contributing to investment effectiveness and faster and more efficient delivery.
Successful candidate will partner with technical and product colleagues to aggregate platform health and run the business needs, identify synergies in scope/architecture/delivery model, deliver an operating model for efficient DevOps in support of GCST outcomes, as well as support modernization and decommission of legacy capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Partners and collaborates with Product Management, Technology Leaders, and GTOS and related organizations to aggregate platform health and run the business demands and develops an efficient operating model for platform health delivery.
Support modernization and as appropriate, decommission of legacy capabilities like Corporate Applications, Abacus, Corporate Account Reconciliation etc while delivering critical changes on the POD tech/business stack.
Develops transitional and POA architectures for legacy capabilities by identifying synergies across multiple initiatives.
Develops an operating model for DevOps delivery by laying foundations for inner source and reuse and by partnering with GTOS teams for efficient platform health delivery
Supports and guides the development process, collaborating effectively across multiple cross-functional teams to skillfully execute on deliverables in a timely manner.
Facilitates the engagement of end-to-end delivery and/or support teams, negotiating where necessary to resolve any resourcing conflicts that may arise due to availability or skill.
Promotes continuous improvement in Technology end to end delivery processes to drive better availability and resiliency.
Ensures adherence of portfolio (or Platform) supported relevant platform health requirements.
Works with the Service Delivery/Technical Operations to ensure quality and performance of program supported to achieve intended outcomes.

Technical Skills
Overarching understanding of the GCST and Enterprise technical platforms and architectural integrations.
Exposure and experience in delivering DevOps and driving CI/CD across multiple platforms and release trains.
Engineering exposure with core Cloud Native platform technologies as they relate to DevOPs like CI/CD tools, Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud infrastructure patterns, etc
Ability to choose and champion Domain Driven Design (DDD), Behavioral Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven development approaches
Understanding of and experience with core American Express applications and platform infrastructure a plus.

Qualifications
Prior relevant professional work experience including product and technology software development, DevOps, and project management experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in related field required; advanced degree preferred
Proven track record of leading multiple portfolios/programs/projects at a time with a demonstrated skill and maturity of integrating software and end to end delivery across the Enterprise.
Exposure to DevOps and Cloud Solutions supporting the same.
Experience in people leadership including coaching, mentoring, and conflict resolution.
Experience with solution/technical architecture and demonstrated track record of having delivered transitional/POA architectures as well as legacy capability modernization and residual POD decommission.
