Position :

Job Description : To receive patients and record details concerning the patient, which includes name, age, sex, diagnosis and previous history.
To prepare the patients for the E.E.G recording
To clean the scalp before the recording is started, cleaning the 22 points where the electrodes are to be placed
To apply jelly and place the electrodes in the 22 areas
To start the recording of EEG with special test procedures like Sphenoidal or with polygraphic studies.
To disconnect all equipment from patient pertaining to the test procedure.
Prior to the procedure explain about it.
EMG /EP TECHNICIAN
To prepare the patient for the EMG and operate the recording parameters.
To perform the nerve conduction study whenever necessary, by applying the electrodes at the appropriate muscle and obtaining recordings from them.
To perform the evoked potentials study or Nerve conduction study pertaining to the sensory, visual or auditory systems.
To participate and contribute to departmental quality initiatives
To be aware of departments performance and objective.
To carryout data collection/support in data collection.
To adhere the safety norms of hospital and follow both patient safety and staff safety rules.
To perform any job / task as and when assigned by the superior.
