Job Description
Chase relies on digital marketing as a key strategic channel in driving acquisition, branding, and cross-sell opportunities to millions of customers across a suite of consumer banking products. The Team member on the Digital Asset Build team will manage all aspects of an email coding for the Channel execution team, including, but not limited to converting, coding and implementing fully executed design files in responsive HTML for operational dependencies. Code & develop executed email creative from using highly complex, data-driven responsive HTML templates. Perform quality assurance and troubleshoot code rendering across multiple desktop and mobile devices using email testing and analytics platforms, such as Return Path or Litmus. Be a subject matter expert on industry standards, best practices and proper coding techniques to achieve correct rendering in all email environments. Proactively work with teammates to improve processes and work methods for greater efficiencies. Collaborates closely with the direct team, internal/external creative teams and numerous cross-divisional stakeholders. Models and acts in accordance with guiding values and mission.
Specific Responsibilities Include:

Meeting with your stakeholders within the department and internal/external agencies, this role will assist in the gathering of requirements, providing analysis of the path forward – and develop and execute against those final requirements.
Supports the breadth of email needs from unique to dynamic templates driven from data.
Creates and manage workload to meet hard-deadlines and adapts to agile business demands.
Enhance existing HTML for mobile-responsive emails via HTML, CSS and/or Amp Script.
Will be the point of contact to address anomalies and troubleshooting of the solution to identify source issues while working across teams to drive.
Identify areas of improvement and make actionable recommendations to increase operational efficiency and user adoption.
Ensure audit trails and quality control steps are in place to anticipate problem areas in advance where possible
Adhere to and promote our existing quality controls.
Requirements

4-year college degree, preferably in Information Systems, Business, Marketing or related-field.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency with HTML, and AmpScript – Ability to use HTML, JavaScript and AmpScript to solve template creation challenges is preferred
Knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Exact Target) and on Epsilon and / or Acxiom platforms will be a plus
3-5 years of relevant HTML/Email development work experience
Knows and continues to educate in industry best-practices and expertise in HTML email coding.
Experience optimizing HTML to display across leading browsers and email clients.
Knowledge of design and user interface principles.
A love for responsive email coding, through the use of @media queries.
Passionate about the email industry and motivated to learn more.
Able to hand-code HTML and CSS.
Familiarity with JavaScript and an understanding of SQL and database structure (preferred).
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Gmail and Android mail app.
Possess strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Able to translate technical explanations to non-technical parties.
Familiarity with both QA and QC in a digital / development environment.
