What you’ll be doing…
You will perform the role of a Level 2 – 3 production support engineer with knowledge on Linux, Openshift, AMQ Administration, RedHat Fuse, Kubernetes, DevOps Tools, Unix Shell/Perl scripting, AWS Knowledge, Knowledge on RedHat PAM and hands-on experience in handling Tier 1 and Tier 2 level responsibilities. Your role will be critical to ensure application availability, monitor alerts and handle incident, change & problem management processes.
Monitor Application for availability (hosted on Unix/Linux, WebLogic) using monitoring tools and scripts set up on the server in On-premise and AWS platforms
Independently, identify the root cause quickly and take corrective actions with tight SLA’s and avoid downtime
Identify monitoring gap and build Scripts for monitoring quickly and set them across multiple applications. (Using Shell, Python )
Have a thorough understanding on Unix/Linux OS (On-premise & Cloud), Openshift, AMQ Administration, RedHat Fuse, Kubernetes, DevOps Tools, Unix Shell/Perl scripting, AWS Knowledge, WebLogic and Client-Server model application and work with System Admins, Middleware and Development teams to get permanent solutions in On-premise and AWS platforms
Work on Release deploys for multiple applications using Jenkins, Ansible and perform application health checks using various tools in On-premise and AWS platforms
Represent in outage calls for the application and provide technical solutions and long-term fix
Perform Incident management and problem management with defined SLA’s using various ticketing tools and scripts
What we’re looking for…
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience in L2/L3 Production Support Engineer functions including Incident /Problem/Change/Crisis management.
Even better if you have:
Experience with the RedHat OpenShift Container Platform.
Experience in RedHat Process Automation Manager.
Experiencein Kubernetes.
Experience in RedHat Linux administration.
Experience in working with Docker or similar container technologies.
Experience with AWS cloud PAAS/IAAS technologies.
Experience working with infrastructure as code technologies such as Terraform
Experience in Infrastructure provisioning, monitoring and Ops
