Job Description : Henry Insurance, a local Baton Rouge insurance agency, is seeking an entry level Accountant who will come alongside our team and contribute his/her knowledge and skills to the growth of our business. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic professional who is organized and has great attention to detail.Job Responsibilities:Responsible for the general bookkeeping of the company, such as AP, AR, Payroll, etc..Bank ReconciliationsMonthly balance sheet and income statement reconciliationsInputting and processing all paymentsEnsuring the timely and accurate payment of all outstanding invoices.Responsible for preparation of invoicingResponsible for assigning consistent and appropriate general ledger codes to all transaction in accordance with GAAP.Other filing and administrative duties as needed.Working with spreadsheets to provide information to management.Communicate with vendors to ensure appropriate documentation for all payments.Follow generally accepted accounting principles and guidelines while ensuring appropriate documentation and records are maintained.Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.Job Requirements:1-2 Years’ experience in an Accounting RoleBachelors’ degree in Accounting is preferred but not requiredExcellent organizational and time management skillsGood analytical and planning skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Programs such as Word, Excel, Etc..Experience in QuickBooksJob Type: Full-timeSchedule:Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Baton Rouge, LA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Education:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Accounting: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
