Job Description : Job Title: Experienced AccountantReports To: Chief Financial OfficerSummary: The Experienced Accountant is responsible for the day to day accounting operations of the company, working closely with the CFO.Job Responsibilities:Assist CFO with monthly close and financial reportingAssist with various month-end reporting and analysisGeneral ledger maintenancePrepare workpapers and account analysis supporting trail balanceGenerate customer invoices and post cash receiptsRecord vendor invoices, obtain approvals and process payments by checks and ACH paymentsDownload credit card transactions and post to general ledgerPost recurring and non-recurring journal entriesPerform monthly bank and other account reconciliationsMaintain asset and depreciation ledgersAssist in calculating and processing commission paymentsAssist in monthly revenue calculationCoordinate payroll processing with HRAssist with treasury managementPrepare regulatory filings such as 1099s, payroll tax returns and state annual reportsSupport annual audit processAssist external accountants preparing annual tax returnsAssist CFO with financing activitiesOther duties as assignedSkills and Experience:Accounting degree and at least one year of industry experience.Must have understanding of GAAP and ability to apply to actual transactionsMust be PC proficient with strong Excel skills.Strong organizational skillsAbility to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.Ability to work with a variety of departments and individuals.The marginal functions of this position have not been included.
