As Business Finance Advisor, you will provide insightful analysis and appraisal of the supply chain performance to help drive operational excellence of the blending plant and logistics in the Country. You will have exposure across manufacturing, logistics, planning business and tax compliance, contract and procurement, and other statutory compliances..
What’s the role?
As the Business Finance Advisor, you will focus on business development, portfolio projects, contracting & procurement through daily interaction with various members of the different functions leaders as a key focal point for support, contract management, forecasting and planning and appraisal including Capex), and several other analysis and strategy review projects. You will also provide advice on complex projects/investments and asset optimization, New Business Opportunities to drive Accelerated Growth aspirations and other strategic projects while being the finance value partner role to India Lubricant Supply Chain (LSC) Hub Manager.
Further accountabilities are as follows:
Master knowledge of areas of the lubricants business (Supply Chain, Sales and Marketing) to provide meaningful and value-added analysis and business challenge on financial/operational performance.
Serve as financial focal point for wide variety of stakeholders in Lubricants Supply Chain and Lubricant Sales & Marketing Team: Base Oil supply, LSC Business Development, Contracting & Procurement (C&P), Pricing Team, Sales & Marketing Team, Regional LSC Team etc.
Provide business finance support in C&P activities within LSC to ensure Shell gets the best value from our deals with suppliers.
Provide value transparency, drive focus on Cost optimization and support LSC business in achieving working capital, OTIF, LPC and C5 targets.
Provide sound professional financial advice regarding structure, risk management, financing, and evaluation of new business development projects.
Contribute to the development of a C&P business finance strategy incorporating C&P engagements, contract negotiations and strategy development.
Work effectively with finance operations to drive operational excellence and MIS improvements.
What we need from you?
Either a Master of Business Administration degree from a Top Tier Business School OR a Chartered Accountants (CA) qualification with a minimum of four years of work experience.
Self-starter with ability to work independently and a strong track record of proven delivery.
Analytical aptitude and economic and financial modelling experience required. Excellent communication and analytical skills, good commercial acumen and mindset, and the ability to operate within a dynamic rapidly changing (virtual) environment.
Strong business partnering skills to establish credibility at all levels of the organization, up to senior management and business leaders, both inside and outside project teams.
Strong inter-personal skills and ability to lead, coach and interact with teams of diverse cultural backgrounds.
Strong Ethical Performance – High standard of professional excellence and ability to navigate across complex analysis and decision points.
