Job Description : Freebirds is looking for a self-motivated, energetic, independent Finance and Accounting Manager to join our rapidly evolving and growing organization. The Finance and Accounting Manager is a key part to our organization as they demonstrate strong collaboration, planning, organizational, problem-solving, relentlessness and communication skills. This role will be a great fit for you if you enjoy overseeing the entire accounting function of a multi-unit company, financial reporting, and supporting our restaurant leaders as it comes to understanding their financial statements. You will be a key partner overseeing and leading the accounting team while directly reporting to our Director of Finance and Accounting.If you find your passion is customer service, building and guiding a talented accounting team, being the expert in all things accounting, and of course burritos; this might be the job for you!WHO YOU ARE: *You can establish and enforce proper accounting methods and policiesYou perform general accounting functions to ensure an effective and efficient period-end close processYou manage large portions of the forecasting and budgeting processYou manage and analyze multi-unit P&L statements to find and correct discrepanciesYou provide business insights and make business recommendationsYou serve as a subject matter expert to business partners and cross-functional teams on operational accounting, including support systemsYou manage the outsourced accounting functions; AP, AR, FA, Payroll and Financial Reporting.You prepare and review materials to support periodic, quarterly, and annual reporting including external audits.You lead external review/audit process to ensure annual report is received timelyYou supervise all fixed asset, review related account reconciliations, and assist in resolving discrepanciesYou prepare journal entries, review balance sheet account reconciliations, and make adjustments when necessaryYou communicate well up and down the organization; verbally and written.You assist with other projects as assignedWHO WE ARE: Here at Freebirds our people are our TRIBE.
