Job Description : MissionCareLink’s mission is to lead its members in the development of a high quality, responsive and relevant services network that cares for adults with complex health issues.Job Overview The Controller is responsible for the oversight of all finance and business functions for CareLink, as well as for any management contracts (i.e., LeadingAgeRI). Provide financial advice and support to senior executives and board to make key decisions. Work with Chief Executive Officer and others to assure company actions achieve quality, financial and strategic goals in support of the non-profit mission.Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions._ Preparation and oversight of financial reporting including: _Monthly financial reporting analysis to CEO and department directors and managersMonthly financial reporting to board and finance committeeOversight of finance department staff: Determine department needs and hire appropriate personnelEstablish and implement a training program for new finance employeesProvide constructive advice and guidance including annual performance evaluationsReview and analyze general ledger postingsSupervise day-to-day operations, including tracking financial data, invoicing, payroll, and otherOversight of annual audit & other regulatory reporting: Coordinate audit with independent audit firmPrepare all planning and fieldwork items requested including but not limited to planning schedules, confirmations, fieldwork templates and spreadsheets, financial statement footnotes and other disclosures as required by GAAPPrepare 990 workpapers and review 990 prior to submissionPayroll and Benefit management: Oversee payroll processing, ensure cash availability, proper accruals, and other benefit administrative reporting as requestedWork with human resources and senior management in benefit renewals and open enrollmentParticipate in contracting for health insurance and other employee benefitsProvide fiduciary oversight for 403B and other retirement plansEnsure all payroll related payments such as tax payments, benefit payments and regulatory reporting are completed accurately and timelyBudgeting: Preparation of annual budget in conjunction with CEOOversee, review, monitor and report on the budgets for each departmentPartner with Program leadership to evaluate resource utilization, productivity and performance to budgetCash management: Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactionsReview and monitor bank reconciliationsMonitor Accounts receivable and Accounts payableCollaborate with operations and program leadership to ensure timely and accurate professional service billing including reconciliation of claims and collectionsOversight of financial relationships: Liaison with finance committee and board of directorsCreate and maintain relationships with service providers and contractors, including banking institutions and accountantsCollaborate with Program and Development leadership to develop and maintain contracts with all partnersOther DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required for the employee for this job.
