Job Description : Financial Accountant, Consolidations (Contract)Hybrid / Remote OpportunityJK Executive Strategies has partnered with a global manufacturer in its search for a Financial Accountant, Consolidations to join its Rochester, NY team. The ideal candidate is high-energy and self-motivated. He or she will possess strong analytical and communication skills and is responsible for a variety of tasks in support of the monthly and quarterly reporting of consolidated financial results.The successful candidate will support the day-to-day month end close responsibilities and assist with the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations, data upload for consolidated reporting, investigation of variance analyses, and participation in internal and external financial audits. This individual will also assist the finance and accounting group with miscellaneous tasks supporting various global projects and initiatives. Additional responsibilities could include identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline month-end close reporting as well as require cross-functional collaboration with internal business partners to provide support in executing key work streams (e.g. Tax, Treasury, etc.).ResponsibilitiesPrepares monthly financial close requirements for Consolidations team, including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and the recording of intercompany transactions between the holding companies and other locations.Assists with monthly and quarterly analytics of the balance sheet and income statement.Performs Oracle to HFM uploads and reconciliations.Performs intercompany invoicing function for IHCo.Works to ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal policies and procedures. Assist in preparation of deliverables for both internal SOX compliance audits and external financial statement audits and reviews.Drives timely and accurate financial reporting throughout the organization.Assists in continued process improvement initiatives to assist and improve current procedures.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.3+ years of experience in an accounting role requiredStrong knowledge of US GAAPAdvanced level proficiency with Excel preferredAbility to communicate and work with all levels within the organizationStrong analytical skillsSelf-motivated and detail orientedAble to work well in team environmentConsolidations experience preferredHFM and Oracle experience a plusJK Executive Strategies is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
