Job Description : We are looking for an experienced financial controller to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. In addition, the role includes responsibility for the company’s employee benefits programs and other finance related aspects of the HR function.This is an exciting time for the company with several new program offerings in the marketplace. In addition, we will be implementing a new CRM/ERP system in 2023 which will provide the new Controller the opportunity to set key financial processes and structures in the system. This is a hands-on role with one direct report and lots of exposure to the operations of the business.ResponsibilitiesManage all accounting operations including billing, AR, AP, GL, inventory accounting, and revenue recognitionManage month-end and year-end close processes and prepare timely financial statements and associated commentaryEnsure quality control over financial transactions and financial reportingResearch technical accounting issues for complianceManage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filingsSupport the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts and variance analysesManage payroll processing with external vendor (currently Paychex)Manage 401k and Health Plan AdministrationMaintain and optimize relationships with outside vendors including banks, insurance broker, 401k administrator, health plan administrator and others.Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controlsAdditional controller duties as necessarySkillsThorough knowledge of accounting principles and proceduresAbility to perform general ledger functions and the month end/year end close processesManagement of AR, AP, Cash, and InventoryCreating financial reports and financial analysesForecasting revenue and expensesCreating and tracking budgetsStrong accounting software user and administration skills; experience with NetSuite, Intacct, Microsoft D365, or MS Navision a plus.Managing and improving financial processesPayroll processing and benefits administrationCreating and managing internal controls and accounting policiesVendor managementAdvanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, a plusExperience Financial controller in a small to midsize company10+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experienceEducation, Credentials, or Training Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or FinanceAdvanced degree in Accounting, CPA, or CMA a plus.Job Type: Full-timePay: $90,000.00 – $130,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceDisability insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payCOVID-19 considerations:Most employees are working remotely during the pandemic.Education:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Accounting: 10 years (Required)License/Certification:CPA (Preferred)Work Location: Remote
