You will work closely with team members within the corporate accounting team, especially your team lead and the Director of Compliance and Reporting, who will provide you with on the job training, mentorship and career navigation. You will also work closely with other members of the accounting department, as well as various cross-functional groups. You will be the primary point person on various accounting workpapers, reconciliations, and analyses that support the Company’s quarterly and annual SEC filings (Form 10-Q/K, press release, investor presentation). These include, but are not limited to the following areas: the financial statements, accounting pronouncements, revenue recognition, segment reporting, fixed assets, equity, fair value of investments, etc. Your role within a large publicly traded company will provide you exposure and the opportunity to gain experience in SEC-related functions and access to cross functional teams within the corporate function (i.e. marketing, sales, corporate development, IT, Legal, HR, etc.)
This position is best suited for a motivated individual whom is detail oriented, deadline driven, and maintains a positive attitude with the ability to work well in a changing and fluid environment. This role will be a critical valued member of the accounting and finance organization, with a broad set of responsibilities that will build both soft skills as well as a wide range of technical accounting skillsets. The successful candidate will have a solid foundation of general accounting concepts and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. A “roll-up-your sleeves” mentality, strong problem solver and collaborator skillset is key.

Responsibilities
Prepare periodic SEC filings required for external reporting, utilizing Workiva SEC Reporting platform, and also prepare supporting documents
Assist in preparing quarterly investor presentation (i.e. manipulating data sets to create various graphs and illustrations)
Prepare support binder for any and all 10-Q/K, press release and presentation figures
Communicate internally with other corporate departments, as well as external parties in some instances to gather information
Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports for executive financial packages
Assist with all steps of the stock compensation process, including monthly journal entries as well as administration of ad hoc activity with third-party transfer agent
Prepare standard monthly journal entries
Prepare monthly reconciliations and related workpapers
Prepare various U.S. government surveys on a quarterly or annual basis
Assist with ad hoc projects and analyses as needed

Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance
1-2 years of experience in an Accounting/Finance role
Public accounting experience is preferred but not required, and CPA or candidate is a plus
Experience in mid-size to large SEC registrants and/or privately-held businesses preferred but not required
Experience with Workday and Workiva is a plus, but not required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills
