Job Designation
As a member of the finance department, the Fixed Asset Accountant will participate in activities to ensure continual accountability and control of government, customer and owned property in accordance with applicable government regulations and corporate policy, in particular FAR 52.245-1 Government Property.
Job Core Responsibilities
Establish and maintain control of property and records through document collection and verification
Conduct physical inventories, analyze and assess property records and lifecycle outcomes
Manage disposition cases
Review contracts for closeout verification
Prepare for audits through record retrieval and reporting.
Interface with various departments including Supply Chain, Program Management, Contracts, Facilities and Operations to resolve and track complex property issues.
Prepare special purpose reports, obtain proper authorization for use of government property and maintain awareness of regulatory changes to ensure compliance, train employees on requirements, and develop process improvements.

Job Specifications
Education: Bachelor”s or Associate”s Degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectation
Years Experience: 3+ years in a government property administration role or related field
Skills:
Working knowledge of the FAR, particularly FAR Part 45, Government Property clause 52.245-1 and relevant DFARS clauses
Ability to investigate and reconcile inventory and record discrepancies
Strong analytical skills to resolve complex issues, while complying with government regulations and corporate policies
Ability to maintain positive working relationships with both internal and external customers
Ability to effectively educate employees on government regulations and internal policies
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
U.S. Citizenship required
Knowledge of BNA Fixed Asset Solutions and Made to Manage ERP software would be useful but not essential.
