Job Description : The Company: Our client is a top steel services provider and has been servicing the Houston area for over 50 years. They believe that customer service is at the core of all they do. It is their top priority and drives continuous design, process and building enhancements. They are looking for a full time direct hire Fixed Asset Accountant to join their team for $100K – $115K. Hybrid schedule available – 2 days in office and 3 remoteThe Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate would have extensive fixed asset experience and would preferably have experience working in the oil and gas or manufacturing industries. They would have experience working with a big company and would have widespread knowledge in ERP systems. This candidate would have a degree in Finance or Accounting and would have full understanding of GAAP.The Expectations: · Ensure financial transactions are properly recorded in the correct period.· Establishing and Strengthening entity level and financial internal controls by working in cross functional teams to establish and maintain SOP· Lead and coordinate capital expenditure and fixed asset reporting· Lead, review and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual Financial Performance packages· Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecastsThe Goal: The Fixed Asset Accountant is to monitor the progress of projects, recording the cost of newly-acquired fixed assets, tracking existing fixed assets, recording depreciation, accounting for the disposition of fixed assets and maintain project related records.
