Job Description : Fixed Asset Accountant Technical Areas of Focus: −Serve as a partner to the Senior Accountant, Controller and CFO in developing and following accounting processes and procedures.−Heavy involvement in the month-end close process.−Reconciliation of fixed asset (tangible and intangible) subledgers.−Ownership of journal entry processing and coordination of supporting documentation relating to assets.−Monthly recording of placing new assets in-service, calculating depreciation and amortization, and recording the gain or loss on disposals.−Careful tracking of CIP projects, including new store construction, upfits and brand improvement initiatives.−Partner with FP&A to monitor new project approvals, budget progression and deviations.−Manage business personal property tax returns.−Support and coordinate with external audit and tax partners.−Assist in supporting other team members, through teaching and collaboration.−Ad-hoc requests from management as needed.Other Talents and Skills: Capability to deliver on time results with high levels of accuracy.Highly organized and process driven with exceptional follow-through abilities.Desire to be a part of a growing and evolving culture.Flexibility to adapt and succeed in a rapid pace environment.Ability to think outside the box.Ability to navigate and resolve business issues, ensuring the correct accounting principles are applied.Willingness to evaluate, troubleshoot, and implement long-term process and efficiency improvements – A desire to never settle for the status quo; consistently thinking how to add more value to Refuel.Core Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.Minimum 3 years in a corporate accounting position.Thorough understanding of US GAAP.Knowledge and experience with SAGE Fixed Assets software.Advanced proficiency in MS Office with emphasis in Excel (including, but not limited to complex formulas and pivot tables).Convenience store, fuel/gasoline industry experience is preferred, but not required.Position is based in Mount Pleasant, SC; very occasional travel to store locations may be required as necessary.Reports to Senior Accountant.Job Type: Full-timePay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Corporate accounting: 3 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
