Job Description : Full Time Staff Accountant Ellenton, FloridaThe Ellenton CPA (eCPA) Staff Accountant will provide administrative and financial support services in a full-time capacity for an in-person workplace. The position works closely with other accounting personnel, internal departments, and external parties Monday through Friday.eCPA is a professional accounting firm located in the heart of downtown Bradenton, Florida. We provide services to individuals, businesses, and organizations of all sizes, both locally and globally. Ours is a fast-paced company with a focus on leveraging technology to achieve our goals. eCPA employs the best of all accounting practices; the eCPA team is equipped to help identify unique financial challenges and design specific solutions to ensure future success. eCPA is immediately seeking a full-time accounting professional to perform general accounting work and provide support for the timely preparation of the organization’s detailed financial statements. Work Monday through Friday within a highly collaborative, continuous learning, team environment on a wide variety of accounting and financial matters.Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):· Set up new customer accounts and Process all customer invoices daily· Monitor Accounts Receivable and collections· Process Accounts Payable invoices and W-9 verification for new vendors· Process weekly Accounts Payable; check, run, and monitor when invoices are due· Process freight bills and continuation billing· Process sub-contractor invoices· Asset Management process and reporting· Daily bank deposits and cash application· Process and reconcile credit card payments and then code to proper account· Post journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts as needed· Process monthly bank reconciliations and Perform month-end closing process· Prepare financial statements and reconcile monthly deposits· Act as back-up to Staff Accountants, Office Manager, and Accounting Specialist to keep the department running smoothly; manage additional duties as assignedQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. (Associates degree in Accounting may be considered with the right experience.)3+ years professional experience in accounting and finance requiredKnowledge of generally accepted accounting principles requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Proficiency in QuickBooks requiredStrong analytical problem-solving aptitude with creative solutions, ability to organize work with large amounts of information efficiently, manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with strong attention to detailAbility to effectively and professionally communicate, both in writing and verbally, with management, vendorsAble to work as a team player with excellent customer serviceOpen to development of skills & knowledge and Willingness to be flexible & adaptable to changeBenefits include: Salary $50k-$55k (depends on experience), Health insurance, Dental insurance, Vision insurance, Retirement plan and Paid time off (PTO)Job Type: Full-timePay: $50,000.00 – $55,000.00 per yearBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridayEducation:Bachelor’s (Required)Experience:Accounting: 3 years (Required)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks: 1 year (Required)Work Location: One location
