Job Description : The Signature Real Estate Companies (“Signature”), an innovative real estate brokerage firm headquartered in Palm Beach County, Florida, is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant. Signature is a family-owned private company that offers a very fast-pace environment. Real estate accounting experience is a plus. Candidate should be an innovative thinker who is able to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.Summary: Reporting to Controller, the Staff Accountant will assume key responsibilities in the accounting department, including, but not limited to the following:Specific Responsibilities will include: · Reconcile daily bank deposits and monthly bank statements· Process weekly Accounts Payable· Assist with monthly general ledger, financial statement preparation and journal entries· Process payroll on a weekly basis· Experience, Education & Competencies: · Minimum of three years’ accounting experience· Detail-oriented, well-organized & quick with numbers· Ability to multi-task especially under pressure & interruptions· Must be professional, available, and objective when dealing with real estate agents and colleagues· Excellent communication & interpersonal skills· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, etc.)· Degree in accountingBenefits: Group health insurance and 401(K) (presently Company has a matching program) following appropriate waiting periodJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $52,000- $55,000 annually, depending on experienceTelecommuting Options: Telecommuting allowed following training period.
