Envipco offers a high energy, fast-paced environment with excellent growth opportunities.Basic Function & Responsibility We are currently seeking a General Accountant to join a dynamic accounting team in our Naugatuck office. This individual should be a highly organized self-starter able to work both individually and as a team. This role will interact regularly with the accounting team as well as provide support to all departments.Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactionsPrepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account informationMaintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepanciesMaintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entriesProcures ad-hoc reports as requestedResponsible for month end process and reviews monthly reconciliationsAssists with external audits by providing all requested information for auditorsPrepares sales and use tax filing & property tax declarationsInventory valuation & reconciliations is a must haveBackup for daily cash reporting for all entitiesOther duties as assignedQualifications & Education A.S. in Accounting preferred5 years’ experience, preferably in a manufacturing environmentERP System experience a PLUSStrong knowledge of G/L reconciliations, journal entries & month end closeStrong knowledge in GAAP proceduresAbility to follow through tasks to completion with minimal supervisionHave the capacity to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Strong Excel skills, (pivot table, VLOOKUPS, etc.)Excellent communication and organizational skillsMUST be flexible w/schedule working 40+ hours during busy timesJob Type: Full-timePay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayEducation:Associate (Required)Work Location: One location
