Job Description : Position Summary: The Junior/General Accountant performs and manages all activities as it relates to the accounting function. This position will also support the continuous process improvement to drive overall efficiency.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: · Assist with preparation of financial statements according to department and industry standards· Enter sales invoices into QuickBooks and review for accuracy· Review sales terms in QuickBooks for accuracy· Assist with the collection of accounts receivables· Assist with accounts payable as necessaryAssist with departmental and company-wide budgeting reportsAssist with month-end and year-end closingsAssist with weekly, monthly, and annual forecastsPresent and discuss key financial metrics to management as assignedProduce ad hoc reports and queries for corporate and managementAssist with implementation of internal control measures to ensure regulatory compliance· Adhere to compliance MRA and State of Michigan guidelines· Understanding of GAAP· Perform other duties as assignedPOSITION REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration – Required.Experience with Microsoft Office Applications, including Strong Excel Skills – RequiredWorking Knowledge of AR, AP, General Ledger and Purchasing – RequiredWorking Knowledge of GAAP – PreferredAct with integrity – demonstrates responsible, ethical, and honest behaviorAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentAble to maintain confidentialityKnowledge of marijuana laws a plusFULL-TIME/PART-TIME: Full-TimeLOCATION: RWB-MichiganEOE STATEMENT: We are an equal opportunity employer.
