Job Description : Position Summary:

This role will assist management in ensuring compliance with all state and local laws, statutory notices, and orders. This role efficiently and accurately produces sales and VAT tax-related information and prepares reports for taxation authorities at for each country on time. In addition, the Global Indirect Tax Analyst will assist in the advisement of management on the tax impacts of various corporate strategies. As an Isagenix Global Indirect Tax Analyst, you will also engage across all domestic (gross receipts, property, commercial rent taxes) and international (VAT/GST) indirect tax activities. You will perform tax research, assist with audit defense, and management of compliance activities, in addition, play a meaningful role in delivering operational improvements thus bringing valuable solutions for the Global Tax Function and wider business. You will work both as part of a team and independently while bringing strong technology and analytic skills to drive continuous improvement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):
Prepare Sales & Use Tax (SUT) & Value Added Tax (VAT) calculations to ensure the accurate filing of tax returns
Coordinate and review the preparation of sales & use tax returns, use tax accruals, notifications, registrations, and other indirect tax-related activities
Coordinate, review, and update analyses, schedules, reconciliations, and disclosures for indirect tax reporting
Performing reconciliation of tax general ledger accounts
Preparing & analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual local sales, use, VAT & property tax return workpapers
Ability to utilize tax online research tools and communicate results in writing
File business license and registrations to ensure taxpayers are compliant
Resolve tax issues and assessments; and able to communicate in writing or verbally with State and Local tax representatives and third-party service providers
Prepare annual report filings such as 1099 & W9 compliance projects
Annual unclaimed property reporting
Maintain monthly tax calendars
Review items and transactions for tax implications
Assist with tax-planning strategies
Minimum Qualifications (These are the requirements that all applicants MUST HAVE to be considered for this position):
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
Two-year college degree or equivalent experience.
4+ years Sales/Use Tax experience (preferred).
Experience with Vertex Software
Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet tax deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented and able to manage tasks simultaneously.
Skilled in the use of Microsoft office software to include Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and advanced Excel experience.
High degree of independent thinking skills, strong analytical and quantitative skills, and team playing abilities.
Demonstrate clear understanding of accounting principles, and direct/indirect tax reporting obligations.
Understanding of sales tax, use tax, GST, VAT, CIT, and IIT.
Experience with major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
6 years of experience in tax and finance.
Professional experience in network marketing.
