Job Description : Job Description and Duties
Under the general direction of a Health Program Audit Manager II, supervises a team of professional auditing staff comprising the Federally Qualified Health Center/Rural Health Center (FQHC/RHC) unit. The unit is primarily responsible for performing rate setting audits for new FQHC/RHC clinics, change of scope of service requests (CSOSR) audits, and reconciliations submitted by 1,013 FQHC/RHC clinics annually to receive their managed care wrap around payments.
Per CCR 249.3, this job control may be used to fill subsequent vacancies.

Department Information
The mission of Audits and Investigations (A&I) is to ensure the fiscal integrity of the health programs administered by the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS).

The Financial Audits Branch ensures, through financial audits, that payments made to providers of Medi-Cal or other State or federally funded health care programs are valid, reasonable, and in accordance with laws, regulations, and program intent.

The Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) and Rural Health Clinics (RHC) section provides statewide coordination and develops audit guidelines for a major statewide health audit program.
