Job Description : Ascendo Resources is actively seeking a full-time, hybrid Accounts Payable Accountant on temp-to-perm basis for our nonprofit client based in Manhattan.Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm, 2 days in office & 3 days WFHSalary: $22 – $25/hour, $50,000 – $55,000/yearRequired qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting,1-2 years of full-cycle AP experience,Strong attention to detail and superb communication skills (verbal and written),Ability to work well under pressure and in a timely manner,Advanced Excel skills and prior experience with different accounting software.In this role, you will: Record payables, scan duly signed vouchers, cut checks, and transmit formatted positive payments to treasury,Maintain an accurate and active file management system of all transactions, policies, and documentations in the AP department,Assist Controllers in classifying independent contractors,Prepare documentation for alternative payment options,Conduct research to resolve issues and discrepancies,Communicate with vendors and voucher preparers regarding their inquiries,Perform other related duties as assigned.Job Type: Full-timePay: $50,000.00 – $55,000.00 per yearBenefits:Health insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Work Location: One location
