Job Description : Hyperion Infrastructure Administrator – Oracle EPM/Data Integrator Modules

Position Summary:

Hyperion Infrastructure Administrator has overall responsibility for providing Techno-Functional support and project management to a large and diverse BI customer base. He/she will manage project initiatives, functional and technical enhancements and act a liaison between business users, internal as well as external team members and the customer. This role includes quoting and pricing new opportunities, project management, solution architecture, Techno-Functional Lead, training and seeking continuous improvement in the BI Team offering and use of Application Implementation Methodology. One component of the role is to identify process improvements and work with the business partners to effectively scope and implement system changes. This person will serve as a Hyperion Infrastructure Administrator and will work with the appropriate people, processes and tools to provide successful support for our customer’s.

Responsibilities :

Hyperion Infrastructure Administrator, the primary responsibility of the position will be

1. Proactively ensure the EPM application and underlying infrastructure are secure, running properly, and are responsive.

2. Ability to work independently and think outside of box.

3. Excellent customer facing skills, communications, writing and a team player.

4. Client management, resource management and status reporting.

5. Documentation of support activities related to customers.

6. Perform EPM environment health checks.

7. Provide guidance on resolving technical and functional issues.

8. Participate in rotation for off-hours support of the environments.

9. Perform activities in support of a 24 x 7 global support model.

10. Coordinate activities and communication with counterparts in US

Education :

Bachelor’s degree and relevant career experience

Desired Skills and Experience:

11. 6+ years of experience administering Oracle EPM

12. 1 – 2 years experience supporting Oracle RDBMS

13. 3+ years of consulting experience

14. Have experience with installation, configuration, patching and upgrades

15. Experience with in place and out of place upgrades from older versions to latest versions

16. Experience with Oracle database administration, SQL scripting/programming skills

17. Experience working with EPM on a Linux platform is highly preferred

18. Experience reading and writing Linux shell scripts

19. Review logs for applications, managed servers, services, etc. to troubleshoot and resolve problems

20. Strong performance tuning knowledge

21. Experience with configuring and maintaining user security

22. Maintain backups, disaster recovery, resource utilization, and other operational tasks.

23. Work with Oracle Support to resolve environment/application issues via SRs

24. Communicate clearly and directly with customers that use Hyperion applications

25. Perform daily production support, monthly maintenance activities, and provide troubleshooting of user-identified problems with the Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management suite in Linux and Windows environments

26. Manage activities across Hyperion environments for development, QA, and production environments

27. Experience with Essbase calculation scripts, Essbase performance tuning and optimization, and Smart View desired.

28. Expertise with ETL tools desired: Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)

29. Ability to work independently, manage small engagements or parts of large engagements

30. Willingness to mentor junior staff

31. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Confidentiality and Background Checks :

This role may requires access to customer environments as a means of providing the necessary support to resolve an issue or inquiries into performance-related issues, or for periodic maintenance and management of the systems. In some instances, these environments may contain Personally Identifiable Information (PII) (e.g., such as HIPAA-related Personal Health Information – PHI) and Payment Card Information (PCI). Personnel are expected to adhere to the highest standards of ethics and professionalism in protecting PII. As a result, background checks and drug screening may be required and could be periodically performed based upon specific customer requirements.
