Since opening the doors in 2001, our secret to sustaining continual growth has been our culture, which is focused on taking great care of every customer, treating employees well and with respect, and being “first and best” in all markets servicing our customers.As our Job Cost Accountant, you will coordinate with the Controller, Outside Sales, Business Partners, and Service Managers in our remote service center locations to facilitate efficient and timely administration of DuraServ projects. You will oversee custodial responsibility for original sales order files, to include: Original quotation, approved submittals, pricing exception documentation, site surveys, and all correspondences. You will have fiduciary responsibility for the integrity of the service center’s job costing, account coding and adherence to company policies.What you can expect to do:Provides accounting support for Sales by reviewing financial information, converting data to ERP and obtaining supplementary information for preparing financialsAnalyzes and interprets statistical and accounting information to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, trends and other matters impacting the effectiveness of the operationRecords entries, including but not limited to: Efficiency variance, cost of sales, cycle counts, warranty and purchase price varianceResponsible for product cost analysis, identifying errors and opportunities, preparing reports and communicating with various departments within the companyMaintains data and determines cost standards for all productsProvides cost data for new and/or changed productsExecution of all equipment sales orders and contracts for remote officesReview of order package from Sales for completeness and accuracySystem order entryGeneration of all purchase orders and installation work orders to ensure timely execution of the orderPurchase order receipt and AP invoice approval and processingInvoicing and job costing of sales ordersInventory control and maintenanceStock and custom inventory purchasesValidation of proper sales and/or use tax treatmentTracking of the open orders and weekly projectionsSkills we are seeking:Understanding of revenue cycle workflow and job costingCost accounting experience strongly preferredKnowledge of job and accounting software (Syspro experience a plus)Familiar with sales and use tax lawsStrong understanding of accounting sub-ledger and general ledger transactionsAbility to make judgment calls within given guidanceConfidentAbility to organize and manage multiple projects and prioritiesExcellent written and oral communication and presentation skills required with ability to articulate complex concepts into clear and concise contentStrong customer service orientationEducationBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance REQUIRED with 2+ years of working experienceBenefits:Continuous training and development programWe offer a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, supplement insurance plans and a 401K with company matchThe company benefits include life insurance, short and long-term disabilityMy Personal Health Assistant program for a healthier youWe partnered with companies and have discounts for our employeesLocation: 2200 Luna Rd,# 160, Carrollton, TX 75006Location: 2200 Luna Rd,# 160, Carrollton, TX 75006Job Type: Full-time
