Job Description : Job Title: Jr. AccountantVision Landscapes is a progressive, full-service landscape management firm based in Bonita Springs, Florida. We are licensed in landscape installation and maintenance, irrigation installation and maintenance, pest control, and employ certified arborists. Our team services Naples, Bonita Springs, Fort Myers, and Estero, Florida.Qualifications: · Bachelor’s (Preferred)· GAAP: 2 years (Preferred)· Excellent Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) skills.· Ability to solve financial problems in excel by modeling and presenting the data.· Experience with QuickBooks a plus but not required.· Must be able to work effectively and with a positive attitude.Education and Experience: Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting supplemented by two year of experience performing budgeting, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting work.Position Overview:This is a full cycle accounting position where you will have exposure to all areas of accounting. The candidate would perform moderately complex accounting functions, as well as computing and preparing data for journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and review of general ledger and related financial statements The position reports directly to the controller, and at times would be expected to produce ad hoc reports and solutions to problems by modeling data in excel. The person in this position will also have exposure to how other departments within the company operate and might be assigned tasks related to supporting the functions within those departments.Responsibilities: Assist the controller with the day-to-day accounting responsibilities of the business.Audits transactions for compliance with applicable ordinances, rules, and agreements.Cash reconciliation of bank accounts.Month end close: Preparing P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements, performing the balance sheet reconciliation and researching variances.Making Journal Entries and accruals.Ad Hoc Reporting and Analysis.Assist in the preparing of the Master Budget.Prepare and maintain schedules for financial statement support of various accounts.Assisting the bookkeeper with AR/AP work when needed.
