Job Description : Position Summary:
Eventus WholeHealth delivers an integrated model of care to adults who reside in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities and private residences through a network of healthcare providers including Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Psychologists, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Clinical and Administrative Support Staff.
We’re seeking a talented and ambitious Junior Accountant to support out Accounting department in the Chapel Hill, NC office.
Hours: Mon-Fri – 8 hour dayshift
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable:
Miscellaneous accounts receivables for all entities on an accrual basis; excluding invoicing handled by AR or 3rd party billing Companies, including:
Process Medical Directorship monthly invoices for all contracts monthly for Eventus Southeast
Reconcile AR detail to GL monthly for Eventus Southeast, Midwest, and DMHC
Post cash receipts for Eventus Southeast, Midwest and DMHC accounts for medical directorships on an accrual basis
Post cash receipts for Eventus Southeast, Midwest and DMHC accounts medical billing collections, and miscellaneous items.
Report past due AR for all entities to Regional Controller and CFO monthly
Reconcile receipts with Sertus to ensure accurate recording by Sertus and within Intacct

Fixed Asset (across all entities)
Convert purchase order upon receipt of invoice and when fixed assets are purchase in AP module
Perform depreciation recalculations on a test basis
Annual physical fixed asset count
Prepare all property tax returns annually
Reconciliation by entity for fixed asset cost, accumulated depreciation, depreciation expense, and gain/loss on disposition of assets
Understand company capitalization policy and useful lives and ensure that policy is adhered to.
Handle disposition of assets (after approved) and calculate gain/loss.
Provide recommendation of assets that should be written off or impaired
Prepare audit schedules
Monitor capital expenditures actual vs budget
Prepare journal entries as needed (not frequent since entries are system generated)

Additional:
Create production and vaccine reports for providers
Maintain vaccination spreadsheet and reconcile for incorrect billing
Backup to payroll processes and trip charges reconciliation processes, as needed

EDUCATION AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in an Accounting

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
1-2 years of accounting related experience or recent graduate
Competent knowledge of Microsoft office; strong Excel skills required
Ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines and complete task accurately
Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities
Strong level of detail and accuracy
