Job Description : Junior AccountantOrlin and Cohen is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our team. This is a great entry level opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a rapidly growing organization.Responsibilities: Assist in the process of reimbursements to employees for travel expense, education and supplies.Purchase durable medical equipment through ePro (PeopleSoft)Performs accounts payable functions, including entering invoices and purchase orders into PeopleSoft, and responding to inquiries from vendors regarding the status of payments.Assist with financial reporting and account analysis.Ad hoc analyses, as requested by management.Skill and Specialized Knowledge Requirements: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, intermediate to advanced Excel skills.Demonstrated computer proficiency.Organized, detail oriented, and possess a high degree of accuracy.Ability to solve practical problemsMust be a team playerExperience: 0-2 years of experience in a healthcare environment, preferred.Bachelor’s Degree preferred with a concentration in accounting, business or related field.Will consider candidates currently pursuing accounting degree.About us Orlin & Cohen is one of the largest orthopedics practices in the region, with 19 offices in Nassau and Suffolk Counties, Queens, and Staten Island, we have been in business for more than 25 years and have over 1200 dedicated healthcare employees in our care.
