Job Description : A financial services company in New York City is actively seeking a driven and dedicated professional to join their staff as a Junior Accountant. In this role, the Junior Accountant will assist with various operational aspects of review, processing, and accounting with regards to the company’s venture capital investments.
Responsibilities

The Junior Accountant will:
Assist with maintaining various modules of Oracle Cloud (GL, AP, Fixed Assets) and processing requirements for Oracle applications
Help with with processing of expenses, cash transfers, investment fundings and distributions.
Support various financial analysis for inclusion in monthly Board of Directors presentations
Assist in special projects
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or 2 years of financial services experience in accounting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Familiarity working with general ledger and/or investment operations database systems
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to work well in and contribute to a team environment
Excellent attention to detail
Effective analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Desired skills
Experience in an investment company or private equity industry
Knowledge of private investment database program(s) and Oracle ERP general ledger
