Hire Salary:
This position hires at the minimum salary of $30,082.

About the Job:
You are responsible for the managing and validation of the claim discrepancies sent to the reconciliation unit. This includes all Foster Parent, Residential Placement, Service Provider and field staff disputes (i.e. travel, etc.). Work includes general accounting, bookkeeping, auditing, quality improvement and budget functions.
A Day in the Life:
The essential functions of this role are as follows:
Coordinate computerized accounting system within assigned area
Certifies the accuracy and validation of entered claims
Reconciles complex discrepancies in payments and notifies the appropriate Local office/vendor
Addresses Vendor disputes
Addresses Foster Parent disputes
Works closely with Local Office on claim and referral discrepancies
Works closely with Programs and Services for interpretation DCS Service Standards
Works closely with Resource Unit for interpretation of Contracts and Services
Advises the Regional Finance Manager of budgetary issues or concerns
Serves as a liaison with Regional Finance Managers, Vendors and Field Operations.
Performs related duties as required

What We’re Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous accounting experience preferred.
What You’ll Need for Success:
Extensive knowledge of DCS Fiscal Policy and Procedures
Extensive knowledge of DCS Service Standards
Extensive knowledge of DCS LCPA and Residential Master Contracts
Extensive knowledge DCS Kid Traks System
Extensive knowledge ICWIS and ICES computer programs
Broad understanding of basic accounting principals and practices
General knowledge and background on Medicaid and Medicaid services
Ability to develop effective work relationships
Ability to evaluate and recommend modifications to existing claim process and validations
Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:
This role may serve as a team lead for an assigned work group.
