Job Description : LEAD AccountantFinance Responsibilities: · Oversee Finance team of three associates in all aspects including AP, AR, Financial Reporting, Financial Strategy, Analytics, Compliance, and other related responsibilities· Work closely with auditors to prepare consolidated income statement, balance sheet, statement of cash flows and footnote information· Lead areas of general ledger close and fulfill monthly financial reporting requirements· Work with the CEO and other business leaders on financial projections and school planning· Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and maintain compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulations· Budget Preparation, Cash Management and Asset Management· Prepare higher-risk monthly revenue/expense journal entries and reconciliations· Create financial models· Grant reporting· Management of financial operations· Maintenance of accurate records of school’s income and expenses· Provide quarterly financial reporting to internal and external authorizers· Evaluate and review of vendor and insurance contracts· Preparation of the Consolidated Application (Federal Grants)· Train and supervise accounting staff· May perform other duties and participate in projects as required by the schoolQualifications: · 5+ years of accounting experience· CPA preferred, but not required· Knowledge of, or experience with preparing consolidated financial statements is required· Proficiency with computer platforms and applicationsJob Types: Full-time, ContractPay: Up to $100,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceDisability insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payCOVID-19 considerations:must be fully vaccinated.Education:Associate (Preferred)Work Location: One location
