We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Consultant Specialist:
In this role, you will:
Building of Data app solutions in both Cloud and On-Premise Solutions using both cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and On-Premise tools DataStage jobs, Shell scripting, database technologies.
Lead the design, architecture, documentation, development, deployment and support of Data Warehouse, Data Marts and ETL Solutions in cloud platforms.
Build new and innovative solutions that can help solve business and technical challenges.
Perform code review for the Engineering teams and test newer technologies, engineering practices by developing POCs.
Drive programme delivery proactively, balancing scope, schedule, interdependencies, budget and risks.
Lead definition of staffing, responsibilities and schedules.
Establish effective programme controls and procedures.
Set high expectations concerning quality and put in place quality assurance processes.
Manage relationships with external suppliers.
Report progress, issues, dependencies and risks to steering committees and make recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation.
Provide visible leadership to maintain a focus on how the programme aligns to the change portfolio across HSBC.
Drive the adoption of HSBC standards and work in alignment with HSBC methodology at all times.
Lead the team to meet performance targets aligned to programme objectives.
Proactive adoption of innovative technologies that enable rapid delivery.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
Bachelor Degree or International Equivalent.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; presentation skills preferred.
Strong prioritization and time management skills.
Minimum 10 years of work experience and experience in Financial domain (Banking).
Vast experience in Data solutions architecture; preferably with IBM Datastage, Linux scripting, DB2.
Knowledge experience in distributed data technologies like GCP, AWS, Data warehousing.
Project management and leadership skills are essential.
Experience developing IT and cloud infrastructure.
Current understanding of best practices regarding system security and control measures.
Experience with DevOps practices – CI/CD pipelines and public cloud (GCP/AWS).
Proficient in python, SQL programming languages.
Ability to work with a degree of autonomy while also being able to work in a collaborative team environment.
Self-motivated, focused, detailed oriented and able to work efficiently to deadlines are essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and spoken).
