Its 200,000 square feet assembly plant in Union City, IN enables it to build C-series last mile delivery vehicles at price points and performance specifications sure to be attractive to fleet purchasers.JOB SUMMARY: The Manufacturing Plant Controller position is accountable for the manufacturing operations of the company, including the production of periodic plant related financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting for inventory and production records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Work closely with the plant manager on developing accurate financial reports reflective of plant operations.Work with Materials to ensure accurate recording of goods shipped/received.Complete commercial truck invoicing.Coordinates COGS budget to include variable and fixed costs, purchase price variance, freight, and other manufacturing costs in addition to inventory and capital expenditures as it relates to the manufacturing operations.Review, code and approve suppler/vendor invoices.Explore opportunities for cost reductions and operational efficiencies.Calculate variances in the budget-to-actual and escalate significant issues to management.Oversee E-Receive and investigation of non-compliance receipts.Organize and manage inventory cycle counts, physical inventories and the procedures for completing these.Reconcile physical inventory and perform annual financial audits.Assist with calculation and record E&O and LCM Reserves.Design and maintain standard costs of all plant products.Support in the developments of bills of material.Manage and obtain approval for commercial truck requests on capital expenditures.Review capital expenditures to ensure proper expense vs. capital accounting treatment, adherence to budget and ROI.Monitor plant construction-in-progress and asset in-service activities, monitor disposals/signoffs and monitor asset impairments.Research past due payments to ensure appropriateness of payment.Assist with monthly warranty reserve for shipped units and monitor Field Services cost activity.Prepare monthly Inventory, Fixed Assets, and COGS Flux reports.Provide the Plant Manager with data for the weekly Commercial Truck Operations presentation.Work closely with operations to ensure timely, accurate capture of production costs and analyze variances.Develop, monitor and analyze manufacturing overhead allocations and burden rates to ensure appropriateness.Maintain strong internal controls and policy compliance culture.Provide support to IT to implement new systems.Maintain all accounting principles and processes, ensure compliance to US GAAP regulations.Develop appropriate metrics to monitor performance.Assist with quarterly/annual audits and other external reporting responsibilities including SOX compliance.IDEAL CANDIDATES’ QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors’ degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.CPA, CMA and/or MBA a plus.5-10 years of experience of in a manufacturing, cost accounting role.Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and other accounting tools.Excellent Interpersonal Communication skills.Excellent analytical and math skills.OTHER: This role is in Union City Indiana, and you are expected to be onsite dailyA robust relocation package is available for this roleJob Type: Full-timePay: $110,000.00 – $150,000.00 per yearBenefits:Health insurancePaid time offPhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayWork Location: One location
