If so, we’re looking for you!About the opportunityThe Multi-Site Plant Controller provides strong financial and operational management and is a key member of the plant leadership team. This role is responsible for planning and coordinating plant budget and business activities for general accounting, cost accounting, variance reporting, business analysis, and inventory valuation in alignment with corporate policies and generally accepted accounting principles. Key areas of responsibility include spend analysis, material and labor variance analysis, forecasting, KPI management and reporting, asset safeguarding, and cost control initiatives. This position oversees the financial activities for our Griffin, GA and Albany, GA manufacturing sites and reports directly to the General Manager.What you will doAnalyze and interpret daily cost variances to provide weekly snapshots to EBITDA performance; provide plant and senior management recommended actions to maximize EBITDAOversee job costing and application of machine standards and overhead rates.Identify inefficiencies and provide direction and leadership on results from constraint analysis, margin analysis, and variance analysisProvide proactive consultation, interpretation, and education of financial and operational matters to department leaders to drive decision makingPerform margin analysis with in-depth examination of sales price, sales mix, raw materials, labor, variable and fixed costs.Leads and enhances annual budgeting, in total and, by department in consultation with department leader and process ownersPrepares and submits financial reports, quarterly forecasts, annual budget, and operating planPerform inventory valuation according to company policy and ensure accuracy of inventory and variances from book to physical; analyze obsolete inventory ensuring appropriate direction and facilitation to reduce exposure.Assesses the return on capital projects, monitor spend, and communicate deviationsEnsures adequate internal controls safeguarding assets and eliminating risk; and, compliance with Delegation of Authority policyManages the accuracy of transactional accounting procedures including invoicing, credits, accounts payable, expense reimbursement, fixed asset acquisition, disposal, and transfer.Supports and contributes to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.What you have to offerBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA/CMA preferredMinimum 5 years as a Plant Controller or Cost Manager in a manufacturing environment, managing a staff, with an emphasis on cost accounting, reporting and variance analysisExperience as Financial Analyst strongly preferredHigh level of proficiency with Excel and ERP/MRP systemsAdvanced knowledge of GAAP, financial, and accounting best practicesDemonstrated proficiency of budgeting and forecasting techniques as well as financial statement analysis and projectionRobust analytical skills; ability to interpret data, spot trends, and draw conclusionsExcellent attention to detail as well as excellent written and oral communicationAbility to build relationships with all levels within the organization and to lead and motivate teams to reach a common goalDemonstrate the highest standards of personal and professional integrity and ethical business behaviorWhat we have to offerOpportunity to be part of a dynamic and highly motivating work environment where you can develop your potential and grow into an exciting career;Development opportunities where your input makes a difference.
