Job Description : This is presently a small entrepreneurial and well-funded company in terms of personnel, but always changing with many subsidiary companies and activities all over North America. It is an investor and funding source for attractive start-up business activities and investments. Owner/President is an older sophisticated business person — Harvard MBA/NY CPA/former radio stations-TV stations-newspapers- real estate owner in complex and sophisticated matters all over North America with sophisticated legal involvements; but now downsized to being more of a mentor and funder to young people starting out on their own entrepreneurial activities like President was many years ago.We are looking for an Office manager with accounting support capabilities (QuickBooks proficiency) to organize and coordinate administration duties and office procedures and work directly and communicate in support of and with the President. Your role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of information availability (particularly accounting and banking based), organizational effectiveness, communication and safety. Office manager duties and responsibilities include making office supplies arrangements, travel arrangements, greeting visitors and providing general administrative support to our employees. A successful Office manager must have experience with a variety of office software (email tools, spreadsheets and databases) and be able to accurately handle administrative duties. Ultimately, the Office manager should be able to ensure the smooth running of the office and help to improve company procedures and day-to-day operations and keep President informed, being able to ask when situations are new or uncertain.Responsibilities and SkillsProven experience as an Office manager, or Administrative assistantAccounting proficiency.Fine Quick Books capabilityKnowledge of office administrator responsibilities, systems and procedures.Abiliity to communicate effectively with office personnel, learning and contributing.Comfort with changing matters and different issues and learning new ways.Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular)Hands on experience with office machines (e.g. fax machines and printers)Familiarity with email scheduling tools, like Email Scheduler and BoomerangExcellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize workAttention to detail and problem solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environmentA creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements.A curious mind seeking to understand and contribute to new activates; obviously therefore feeling comfortable reaching out in uncertainties and interests and having comfortable communication and question capabilities.Job Type: Full-timePay: $45,000.00 – $60,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k) matchingHealth insurancePaid time offSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payCOVID-19 considerations:Normal care and concern.Education:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Office Manager/accounting s: 5 years (Preferred)Microsoft Office/quickbooks: 5 years (Preferred)Administrative/accountingnce: 5 years (Preferred)administrative/accounting: 5 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
