Job Description : Organic Farm Accounting ManagerJob Overview: We are the Family Office for an individual with multiple businesses. We have an immediate opening for a full charge, hands-on Accounting Manager at an organic farm in the western Loudoun County location. The position reports to the Family Office.This is a full-time, exempt, salaried position.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with a concentration in accounting.Minimum of five (5) years hands on and management accounting experience.Must have experience with QuickBooks financial software. QuickBooks Enterprise a plus.Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required. Experience with Apple computers a plus but not required.Excellent organizational skills, including an organized thinking-process to handle constant competing request, deadlines, and issues with tact, grace, skill, and proficiency. A “can-do” attitude is required.Must be a proven leader with successful experience in employee supervision, process system development, training, motivation, and mentoring.Work independently establishing priorities and productivity systems in support of the business with minimal supervision.Ability to work with multiple department/division personnel with varying degrees of skill.Human Resource experience a plus but not required.Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivables, general ledger, payroll, taxes, banking, inventory, purchasing, invoicing, livestock, and work-order data.Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.Establish and maintain proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.Supervise one Staff Accountant. Direct staff in the development, analysis and preparation of systems that streamline the input of accounting data without compromising accuracy.Build collaborative relationships with other division managers and top-level employees to create, communicate and implement systems that ensure compliance financial reporting requirements.Responsible for working directly with consultants from time to time to improve farm efficiency.Work closely with Human Resource Manager.Work with family office CPA’s.Benefits: Health Insurance, retirement plan, paid time off and paid holidays.Job Type: Full-timePay: $70,000.00 – $85,000.00 per yearBenefits:Health insurancePaid time offPhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridayExperience:GAAP: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
