STANDARD HOURS: Approximately 20 hours per week between the hours of Monday-Friday 7:30-4:30pm. Scheduled to be determined at the time of hire. Flexibility required to include other evening and/or weekend hours as necessary.
SALARY WAGE: $21.39/hour

POSITION SUMMARY
Maintain financial entries, records, reports, and general ledgers. Prepare and analyze revenues, expenditures, balance sheet accounts, and budget entries. Responsible for maintaining the accounting systems and processes of the College.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
Serve as a financial resource for college departments by providing support and consultation on finance related activities (e.g. budget, salary expense, capital projects, grants, etc.).
Prepare, analyze, and monitor financial transactions and financial schedules (e.g. journal entries, budget entries, grant budgets, etc.).
Balance and reconcile assigned accounts and/or funds; researches and resolves any problems or discrepancies.
Participate in projects for financial process improvement, including implementation of new software.
Understand and utilize accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America; standards outlined in the Wisconsin Technical College System Financial & Administrative Manual; state statutes; and/or grant guidelines to govern transactions and processes.
Complete assigned requests and schedules for annual department activities (e.g. audit, budget).

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Bachelor’s degree in related area preferred.
Experience: Minimum of three years related experience.
**An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
Computer Skills
Advanced spreadsheet skills, working knowledge of computerized accounting and ERP systems and word processing.
Other Requirements
Must hold a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the District’s standard insurance policy.
