Job Description : The Mom Project is excited to partner with our client, an accounting firm based in the Bay Area!
The Majority of the work will be performed remotely but candidate could sometimes be required to come to the office or travel to clients’ sites for meetings or fieldwork.
Candidates living within or around the San Francisco Bay Area or living in California are strongly preferred.
This role will require frequent meetings with our clients. The working hours are flexible, but we will require attendance to our daily team meeting and/or clients meeting as needed. Therefore, ideal candidates will be those who do not have their own business on a side.
The candidate will report to the Audit Manager and/or Audit Partner and is responsible for organizing and managing client engagements and projects including the completion of engagement tasks and project components.
The candidate must be reliable and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Candidate will assist in the conduct of audit engagements under supervision and may be responsible for undertaking small non-complex audits which will involve pre-audit scoping and preparation, identifying audit risks and performing preliminary evaluation of client’s internal control structure to identify weaknesses and areas for management consideration and improvement.
Active CPA or actively working towards obtaining the license is a huge plus.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in conducting financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations for nonpublic companies, state and local government. single audit and not-for-profits entities is required.
