Job Title: Payroll Accountant
Location: Santa Rosa
Compensation: $25-$35 an hour
Job Summary:
Established local manufacturer is seeking a Payroll Accountant to oversee and supervise payroll functions for 10+ employees. Experience in construction a plus, but not necessary. Position is temp to hire, but direct hire can be considered for the right candidate.
Job Title Responsibilities:
Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing and accounting systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, taxes, and other deductions
Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates
Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and best practices
Performs other duties as assigned
Job Title Requirements:
Experience in QuickBooks Desktop & Microsoft office suite
Construction experience a plus, but not necessary
Proficient with payroll software
At least 2-3 years related experience preferred
